So, I'm REALLY contemplating moving from my '06 DB9 Volante to an '09 DBS coupe. Love the coupe styling better than the Volante, but I'm wondering if I'll miss top down motoring, or will the DBS experience make me forget all about it?

Has anybody here made such a move?

Trick question. Top down every time I drove it, but on the other hand, I might have driven it more often had it not been a convertible. Hmmmm....

For me I wouldn't go for a DBS, I would wait for the Virage. The DBS is just too Cheshire footballer imo, and when I test drove one, couldn't tell much difference in the way of performance, except it was a little more uncomfortable.

I understand, but since I'm in the USA, we don't have "Cheshire Footballers" to sully the image, if you will.

And regarding the Virage, to me it is not so different looking than the DB9, and on top of that, I can't stand the Rapide style lights. I just don't like the LEDs like all the Audis have. So far the DB9/DBS haven't been 'upgraded' to that style.

And lastly, even if I did like the Virage, I'd have to wait a couple more years since I'd be buying used, not new. Heck, I might be dead by then...

What about the facelifted DB9 Volante (post 2010), I would guess that would be similar money to a DBS coupe.

The new DB9 volante is WAY better than the old one. Lots of suspension and materials upgrades.

New 2011 DBS Volante? Waaaay out of my price range. I'm looking for $180K maximum, not $280K.
