Hi - just wondering if any of you have experienced the same problem I have with my recently bought v8, from main dealer. At low speeds (0-10mph) there is a repetitive rubbing/squeal sound from the back left of the car, sounds like something rubbing/catching every time wheel fully rotates...as the speed increases the sound goes away, returns just as car pulls up to a stop....Doesn't appear to be brought on by the brakes. Aston have had it back twice, claiming to have fixed it each time, once by changing handbrake pads....but the noise keeps returning. However, i had it for the last 2 weeks and 50% of the time there is no noise, then every now and then it reappears.

Sorry but mine doesn't do that! Could be a pad rubbing? I assume its a pre owned car? Could be warped disc that dealer wants to ignore? I would take it back a d leave it with them!

My Coupe does the same, particularly around a tight left hand bend at low speed.

Rick, DMS advises that it is probably an incorrectly adjusted handbrake.

Hi to all, first post from a long-time lurker.

To the OP - I had the identical issue on my 07 V8VR when it was about a year old, only really noticeable with the hood down. Dealer looked at it a couple of times but couldn't find the problem. IIRC they eventually traced it to some sort of cable somewhere on the nearside rear of the car rubbing against something else, which they apparently wrapped tape around to stop it making a noise!

If it doesn't go away you could always "fix" it by pulling Fuse 22, that fixes all low speed squeaks and rattles biggrin

Ha ha that made me laugh, I took Fuse 22 out on day one to see what it sounded like,,, 9 months later :-) mind you I do feel guilty at 7am going to work but none of the neighbors have said anything.

As for the squeaking an easy way to test if it's the handbrake and forgive me if you know this allready but the handbrake is seperate from the main brakes so if you can hear the noise on approach to standstil does it change if you use the handbrake to stop?

It could be a piece of gravel trapped between the disc and back plate.
