I like to drive with no aids at times, especially coming out of a tightish left hander in second...

It's really annoying having to start pressing the button half a mile down the road and waiting for what seems like an eternity for it to finally de-activate. I've checked with Aston and they cannot alter the time you need to keep the button pressed for when switching the DSC off.

Any one know of any other 'fix' to reduce the time delay?

switch it off when you start driving each time and leave it off...done that on trackdays before, no issue

Thanks but there are times that the DSC helps when driving at a slightly higher pace - that's why I'm finding myself switching it on and off a bit on one of my favourite runs out. Don't suppose anyone has any other ideas?

the isnt as it is a safety item , and has the delay for a reason.

How long do you need to press it?

Feels like at least 5 seconds which when your approaching a corner can result in you travelling a decent distance. All my previous cars BMW Coupes, 911s etc have switched off within 1-2 seconds.

Its 4 sec's , you wouldnt what to knock it off and not know about, or one of the kids pressing it as your going round a corner in the wet etc, like i said its a safety thing.

It feels longer than 4 sec but I agree it's good to have it on sometimes, I turned mine off to deal with some ice this winter, totally forgot and on the way out of a junction leaned across to wave thanks to the kind chap who let me out just in time for the backend to swing round :-s caught it with the one hand but sure got the pulse racing!

I agree though most times I feel naughty I'm allready past the point by the time it's turned off.
