After loving these things for years we are now in a position to buy smile

As I have never researched them before and having a couple of viewings lined up for tomorrow I was wondering if anyone could give me a brief walk through on options, what to look for, running costs etc smile

Marcus - too much to tell in too little time.

I assume you will be going to Wilmslow? A 2008 DB9 is about to go out of Warranty but a dealer should throw in 12 months warranty.

Insurance depends on your profile, expect a £435 RFL addition and a £250 Horizon Eurowatch Tracker annual Fee. Make sure you get at least one Tracker Fob AND they show you how to pair your phone (if appropriate) to the Tracker.

Spare plastic key is essential in case you drop your £700 glass one. Ask for a leather key pouch for it. An Aston Martin Umbrella always goes down well.

They will try to sell you all types of insurance, including GAP - your choice.

They will try to sell you Finance - your choice.

They will try to sell you a brand new V8V for the same price (it's a quota thing) - stay focused on what you want.

Clear Rear Lights are not standard on a 2008 - make them an issue.

Go through the advertised spec with the dealer to ensure all options are there - my advertised Stone Guards were missing so they remedied it.

If going to Wilmslow, deal with Scott Smith, a thoroughly nice young man.

I will no doubt think of more items later smile
