My car was collected by Works Service yesterday and silly as it sounds I dont half miss her already cry

I guess I just take it for granted that being my daily drive she will always be there.

The downside is I am a laughing stock pulling into my work car park in a beaten up banana yellow Panda (although I secretly love this little car, at least its not a Cygnet)

The upside is that suddenly no-one is pestering me for lifts home and I can nip to the supermarket without worrying about my paintwork.

Roll on the weekend when hopefully she will be home.

Just wanted to share my misery!

My wheel is being refurbed after I had a falling out with my dealer who refused to guarantee the work would be done to my satisfaction.

Also while there I am having the low speed right hand lock judder investigated and intermittent phone conectivity which has only just started.

Bloody luxury! (in a Monty Pythonesque way).

You should try driving it for two weeks, then having to park it up under its blanket for another 10! No touch, no see, no nothing. Just a parking bill! That will teach you patience.

Still - only two weeks to go now before I get my wicked way with the dear girl! biggrin

I would love to see those bonnet vents in the flesh so to speak.

I take it you have had no paint heat peeling problems?

An interesting alternative!

A trip to works service is a perfect excuse/reason to experience the PDC while your pride and joy is being fettled.

I also accepted a very kind invitation of a personal tour of the facilities before the PDC commenced.

Unequivocally recommended.

I have a PDC on hold. Still to confirm. Need to get my rear into gear and get it booked.

Hi Di,

Done about 1000mi with them painted and look like new to me. Bit of a pain to put the polisher on them when youre in to that but when you see how thin the bonnet is, I cant how it would not suffer less than that of the CF louvres.

Time will tell I guess.

Mine's only been gone for day (bespoke exhaust)!

Walked out through the parking garage to sneak a look this morning and it wasn't there, for a few seconds I thought it had been pinched... not nice frown

Is it back yet?

Did they do the wheel without any issues?
I'm asking because I remember your thread where your dealer had said the wheel company would n;t know how to jack the car up (which I thought was a pile of tripe BTW) and then they said it was at 'your risk' (again a pile of tripe) so I need to know if it was happy ending or not? Did the Lady and the beast live happily ever after with shiny round scratch free corners?

I spend most of my time in Canada, but get home probably once every 4 weeks or so. I bought the V12V last July expecting that AM would sell out of the 1000 V12Vs in no time and certainly before I came back to the UK for good.
Consequence is I repeatedly go through withdrawal and have to content myself reading the posts on here while away!
Back home for 10 days at present, and the weather is perfect for many a happy jaunt.

I spend way too long looking at the same old videos on youtube and pictures on my laptop.

Then I do live in Ireland currently while the car is still in the UK.

I took it out on my birthday last weekend though and it was magnificent.

Much looking forward to the 17th, the next time I'll be able to use the car.

As it happens it's booked in for it's first service at WS for the Monday 18th, I figured while I was up there...

I also phoned to book the PDC while I was waiting for the service to be done but someone has already booked the V12 Vantage (anyone here?) and I think you only get the full benefit of the course if it's in the same model as you own. I was offered the DBS touchtronic. Thanks but no thanks.

Not back yet cry

Gutted, as if its not back by Monday I have a problem. Tuesday I have to be in Oxfordshire at the Williams HQ for work, and desperately wanted to roll up in my baby.

Show them a 'real car' wink

WS are doing what they can to get it back to me on Monday so fingers crossed.
