- V12 Vantage - costs, sorry....
Discussion
Hi All,
Sorry the dreaded “cost” question.
Since selling my F430 F1 Spider and being VERY lucky with running costs, I’m in the market for either a DBS or V12V. Having read through anything to do with either cars on here it would seem a fair comment to say the V12V will not only be cheaper to buy but also cheaper to run, but why is that? Both the same engine no? (Both would be manuals).
Anyway… Having experienced 14mpg in the Ferrari it would seem I should expect the same, if not less from the V12V, but my main concern, are the Ceramic Brakes. How often do these need replacing and at what cost? I’ve heard stories that every 4 years (or is it every 40k miles) they need checking and that costs £££££?
Annual costs are either yearly based service or every 10k miles, again correct? £1000 a shot or is that just an annual service?
Sorry I was waiting for the FAQ section but that has a great review of the V8 but nothing on the V12V as yet.
thanks

Richard, from my limited knowledge, they are indeed the same engine but the V12V is slightly faster due to it being smaller and lighter than the DBS. This should be reflected in running costs.
I had a shot in the V12V before retreating to a DB9 and the weight to power ratio does command respect, especially in the rain.
