Intermittent speaker problem
Discussion
1.) Have you got Bluetooth.
2.) When it happens, sit in the passenger seat and stamp your feet on the angled plate covering the fusebox.
If the sound comes back, it is a problem with the bluetooth switcher box in the passenger CEM. The contacts in the relay get dirty and cause one channel to stop working. The original Aston part has now been superseded by a better design.
Kind Regards,

Ah thanks James. I have got bluetooth and I remember the Dealer mentioned it may have something to do with the interaction between the two. Will give the fuse box a good stamp next time to see!2.) I have what may be a related problem on my 2007 V8 Vantage with bluetooth and premium sound. After the car has been sitting for a while in the cold weather, when I drive the car and turn on the sound system the right door speaker doesn't work. Once the car warms up and if I turn up the volume quite loud the speaker will work again. This has happend to me only two times, once after winter storage and again this December when I took the car in for service after a nasty cold spell. While at the dealer I asked about this and they have another customer car with a similar problem and have replaced the speaker and amp but the problem has reoccured. Sounds like it may be worthwhile to investigate the bluetooth connection.

Unfortunately don't have blutooth. Any other possibilities/sources for loose contacts? Interesting thing in mine is that fiddling with volume, or switching from FM to CD resolves it - until it happens again.
Sounds like the amplifier on this one. However if one of the speakers was going intermittently short circuit, this would cause the amp to go to protection mode and shut down. How often is it happening?I have this problem, but it's the left channel that cuts out. It's a U.S. left-hand drive car--I assume the Bluetooth uses the left side.
Since the Bluetooth is useless anyway (too noisy), can I just pull the fuse (or the relay) to disable it, or will that affect something else?
Thanks.
