New to the fold and wanted to get my car checked over at the end of the month in preparation for a trip abroad..i bought it from Welwyna dn they were great but Brentwood is so local to me they'll probably collect it i would imagine meaning zero hassle for me all round...

Anyone used them and have any reccs ?

yes, I used to live in Brentwood so they were my local, no complaints at all, great service ...just the usual dealer negatives like higher labour rate compared to indy ...certainly not excessive though

...been a couple of years since I moved away, but they were the cheapest dealer within 70 miles when I lived there

I used to use them and I agree they were good. However, several of their top staff have left (been pushed, rather). Not sure how many of them were techs tbh, but I'd be a bit wary.

Grange Welwyn were one of the people who looked after my DB7 in the eight years I had it and were very reasonable and did a fine job each time I used them (it also went to Works Service and Chiltern). Don't know about Brentwood.

There is a 'no naming and shaming' policy on pistonheads. So if anyone slated them then the moderators would delete the comment and/or lock the thread...

I have had good and bad experiences, but only ever good service. My only bad experience was reporting a rattle that they seemed to ignore and I had to take it back. Annoyed that they did nothing in the first place, but they then fixed it and made up for it by offering a very nice iscount on my next service

I insist on Andy in service looking after my car as I raced with him years back and he was always turning out with good cars. He does a great job now on my servicing and I am always happy when I get the car back.
