There I was last night watching a recording of something like 'Royal Navy in Caribbean' and on the bridge of the HMS Manchester the captain is sat in a very nice Aston Martin Rapide seat......now I know there are quite a few jokes about Astons only coming in Silver so I'd like to point out that the HMS Manchester was Battle Ship Grey!!!!

I spotted that last night. Did you see the hand stitched "OC" on it too.

I must have missed the bit where it said the Royal Navy is so fully funded it can fit AM seats into its ships. Never mind, the Captain will be comfy while he downloads MP3s with his iPhone.

I've watched the entire series so far, and I guess the seat was donated to the ship by AM Manchester.

I wonder if the Capt.. (Commander Cox) actually owns an Aston???

I was watching one from three weeks ago so have not caught up on the series yet. I have not seen OC stitched in the seat......could it stand for Old Captain? :-)

I thought the One-77 was expensive but 30 odd million (or whatever they cost!) for an Aston Martin Battleship outdoes the One-77 by miles!

I think OC stands for On-Scene Commander?

It's a wee bit more powerful than the One-77 and drinks a little more fuel tooeek

Officer Commanding or Officer in Command I'd have thought.

HMS Norfolk had a Lotus seat (Lotus factory in Norfolk). Not sure about the Aston/Manchester connection
