Recommendation for re connollising leather in Hampshire?
Discussion
how bad are the marks?
ive always done my own on the last few cars - its easy enough with some liquid leather cleaner, dye (scuffmaster) and conditioner
theres a few places that sell kits ...as long as you have an "off the shelf" leather colour, its £30 of potions and a 30 min job on a Sunday morning

Thanks, fairly easy to treat scuffs to bolsters, but also a small area where something has cut into the leather slightly taking off the surface in a small area. May be worth trying myself - any recommendations for a good kit?ive always done my own on the last few cars - its easy enough with some liquid leather cleaner, dye (scuffmaster) and conditioner

Thanks - but they are based in Wigan, I'm on the South coast. Someone more local would be great!notax said:

as above - Liquid leather will do you a kit/conditioner/cleanerworks fine as in making scuffs/worn/cracked leather look better
You could try Leather Care & Restoration at http://www.leathercareandrepair.co.uk/locations_ha...
I used them and Jeremy came out to do my Ferrari 400 GT's leather; it hadn't had any serious care for over 15yrs and he did a remarkable job in repairing scratches, scuffs, fading and general wear - it was left like nicely used new, if you can follow that!
I'll be getting him into my DB7 soon.
Cheers, Ray.

Many of the original MY 2006 and earlier seat designs (including mine) get this fine patchwork shiny pattern. Its not gone so far as to be called creases. You can see it on the LEFT BOTTOM side bolster of the driver's seat in the picture (I don't mean the obviouse creases at the back of the right side bolster). Any tips on renewing these?
I live on the Surrey/Sussex/Hampshire border and went to http://www.dclass.co.uk/ in Woking. Not far.
They are principally Mercedes interior specialists but also do things like covering the McLaren F1 seats for Button and Hamilton.
They arranged for a mobile re-connolliser to come to the workshop (something like InTrim UK but I can't remember) and he was brilliant.
I had scratches on the passenger seat done and the rhs squab of the drivers seat, together with other grazes in the cockpit. All while I waited.
Price from memory was £30 a large panel with much less for the little scratches. Work was done six months ago and still good as new.
D-Class also fixed the leather coming off the leading edge of the instrument binnacle, completely free.
Their premises are not glamorous but they gave me superb service, were nice people and offered good value.
Let us know how you get on if you go.
Simon.

Thanks for all the advice - I've now realised there is a leather repair specialist just down the road from where I live. Doh! Car booked in, I'll let you know how I get on... Damage is to two colours of leather and he has also agreed to touch up a tiny bit of interior trim - all for £100. As I would have needed to buy two dye colours and paint for interior touch up it is cheaper to get it done professionally
