Your DB7 pictures.
Discussion
Lady Topaz stirred us up with her "Our Forum" thread and I thought that after a quiet spell for us DB7 owners, let's start a new thread for our cars. We sometimes get drowned out from the V8 crowd, so post up a pic or two, whether you've had it for years, a new owner, or used to have one, i6, Vantage or Volante. Fond memories...or otherwise, dig out your pics.
My 2000 Vantage. Manual. Bought through Runnymede December 08. Runs every day and doesn't let me down. 5 owners and 75k miles. It's been a good couple of years and I love it! Even the other half is starting to warm to it.

Wonderful car, my first Aston. Never let me down after the initial drive home (when the coils went), amazing trip through the Loire and onto Classic Le Mans last year. A car, to use a cliche, that is vastly more than the sum of it's parts.
It's morphed into this now, totally different car. And perhaps a little less magical...

Better if i post this in the right thread!
My 95 six cylinder courtesy of Chiltern Aston with 73k on the clock, now upgraded with sports exhaust, Nardi steering wheel and lots of polish.
Recently de-rusted and waxoyled with loads of preventative work carried out underneath, mine has to live outside with just a cover

That i6 is lovely, an auto coupe in green, maybe ghillies, is on my list. Would be a great foil for my manual Volante, which is Chiltern!
History of my 7 is well documented on AMOC, bought a car that I didn't realise needed work but paid top money - I was stung very badly by the dealer, they lied about the coils having just been done as they went within 100 miles! A lot of other work was needed and it was finished and in perfect nick when I sold it, very cheaply as I found my manual 9 Volante and had to move quickly!
I do miss my DB7, it was such an event.

Slowly getting through all the major jobs, All front Bushes, Wheel Geo-setup, Plug and Coils, Windscreen, Electrics etc.. all done!
Just a few smaller things and a complete underbody waxoyling to do and touch wood, should be able to enjoy a few cost free months :-)

Mean and moody Manek. Are you staying in the Aston fold or moving on?
Tim, Prom night, best carriage there I imagine, certainly looks the part.
Thanks Tim - one of my fave shots of the beast!Tim, Prom night, best carriage there I imagine, certainly looks the part.
Sadly - moving on. I fancy a bit more modern car, more performance. less weight, and moving more toward sporty than GT. Looks like a 911...

I've had my 2001 Vantage Volante for nearly 5 years and see no reason to update to a 9 or a V8. In my eyes the 7 is still the best looking model.
I was just about to take you to task for saying "upgrade" to a V8V when I realised you hadn't said that at all. LoL!The DB line is a pure one and the V8V lies significantly beneath it, in my opinion.
Here is mine. A quite old photo I'm afraid. It was taken the day I bought it almost a year ago.

This seems as a good a place as any to ask, since the search PH function still seems to be U/S. I'm planning a bit of a clear out of cars, and I'm considering replacing the Monaro, the TR6 and one of the Quattros with a single 'allrounder'. I've always loved the DB7 but haven't so far learned very much about them, I can't seem to find a good source of info regarding common DB7 faults. Most importantly, how reliable are they? I do tend to use my cars and this will be a car that is used regularly for motorway and cross country journeys, typically I'll do about 15,000 miles a year in it. Is a DB7 the right car for the job? Or should I stick with the Monaro, which is crude but also fast and tough. Any sage words of advice gratefully received!
AMOC will have lots of user reviews etc on the DB7 vantage.
I would personally really consider the DB7 Vantage but remember that it was once a 100K+ car so will have associated running costs etc From what I have heard they are pretty reliable, with only minor niggles. Happily, most of the switch gear is ford based so pretty easy to source and repair.
