Absolutely chucking it down with rain at a business meeting in a business park waiting for someone to rejoin the meeting and idly staring out of the window and glimpsed a black DBS on the roundabout outside the window. Felt a warm glow and meeting went a lot quicker after that! Unfortunately, didn't pass it on the way back from the meeting otherwise would still be standing there in the pouring rain looking at it!smile If anyone was passing through The Cresent on Severalls this afternoon...thank you!

Great post from an Aston admirer.

I was in your position possibly for most of my adult life. Just got a great feeling whenever I saw an Aston Martin. Just the name conjures up so many images. As my profile says, I never in a million years thought I would own one.

I feel very very lucky to have achieved my dream.

So don't say thank you. Its us that should say thanks to you for appreciating our cars. Good choice with the DBS by the way.

Completely agree with you both, including wanting one all my adult days and feeling very fortunate now to own one. I only have to look at the shape of that most beautiful of radiator grilles, and life feels good.

Your lucky! I only get to see mine for 6 weeks of the year!

He’s what I like:
It’s night time. Pitch-black, go and sit in the car. I have the lightweight black leather seats with the alcantara trim. All-black alcantara roof lining.

Sit quietly, and snug into the seat. Breathe in that leather. Feel the adrenaline rush as you get high on that smell.

Feel and sense the silence, the still-ness of the interior cabin. Sense the achievement.

Look over your shoulder to the rear of the car. Sense the compactness – there is nothing behind you. Everything is in front of you. Anticipate the power.

You insert the ECU into the dash. The internal lights glow in that cool light blue aurora. Everything is still so simple, no confusion, easy on the eye, so soothing.

Depress the clutch, press the ECU fully home and watch the start button glow red.

That V12 fires up with a perfect tone and frequency. It dies back to idle.

You compose yourself. Choose first, and a whole new experience awaits as you drive off... Theres a whole new experience when you park up and admire the form of the exterior....

Do you get this with anything else?

G.

I think I've seen that car too, on the Mersea Road roundabout heading east.

Simpo, there seems to be a couple of DBS in the Colchester area, saw another beautifaul one with private plates in Dedham a while ago. Have to go back to Severalls next week so will keep an eye out! There were also a couple of Vanquishes about, a black one was seen regularly at the Hythe. Noise + car = big smile. Off to Northampton tomorrow so may detour to Newport Pagnell!
