There's been a fair amount posted on sat nav issues. I have found the system on my Aug 10 V8V okay for my needs. It's a bit of a pain having to scroll through the letters to input the destination but it's got me there okay after. I had a trip to Edinburgh last week and couldn't fathom the speed camera warnings on it. It seemed to locate all the cameras with an icon on the screen but not all triggered an audible warning. It wasn't just that they were the ones facing the other way. Even some targeting my carriageway didn't sound. Is the system clever enough to know which cameras are active? I can't believe that's the case. Who would take a chance? Also is the camera database refreshed as per traffic advice service or is it just changed when you update the disc? Anyone know how system works? It seems a useful if unreliable tool. Whilst I don't condone speeding I've stuck a road angel in to promote safe driving angel. What do the rest of you use?

I use a pogo alert and have no complaints. It is fitted in the rear screen supplied from the boot mounted 12 volt socket as it doesnt take the look of the cabin. Works fine as I just react to the audio alerts.

Pogo Alert, hard wired in with diffuser (garage door opener) above the front number plate to give you a chance against the camera vans. Very reliable and tells you all you need.

Road Angel Professional - no wires needed. I particularly like the digital speedo reading at that height so that it is permanently in view.
