So... We've decided to get a little canine friend. Well, not so little, it's a Weimeraner.

For the moment, passenger footwell in the Vantage should be fine, and seeing as it's 50.1% the gf's idea she can mover her legs.

But 6-12mos down the line it might get a bit much. So before I head back to a 911 or go the Range Rover route. Does anyone have experience of a dog in a DB9 or DBS?

I'm afraid there's really no more interior space in a DBS than a Vantage.

My parents have had their standard Poodle in the footwell of their DB9, no problem whatsoever. They just had to be very careful of stray claws finding the painted sills smile

I've had one of my two Weimaraners in my Vantage and at 40kilo's he ain't so little, just sat on the passenger
seat with his head out the window.
Though he couldn't fit in the foot well.

This person deserves an award for being brave enough to post that photo.

What happens when an over-sized Springer mistakes the footwell of a Vantage for his usual automotive conveyance.

yikes

Omg - I can bearly look at this thread. There is no way I would ever allow any pet in my Aston.

The very same hound took the opportunity to similarly sample my Elise the first time I took it to my parents' place. I think dad's Vantage had done all of 300 miles when that photo was taken...

biggrin A Weimeraner, lovely dogs, beautiful coat but they do grow big! Is it a dog or a bh? The dogs are about the same size as setters. And being gun dogs they are powerful and energetic. It will need something with a decent space like an estate to take it for all those long walks its going to need wink

Totally agree - no children allowed near mine either. Last time I let a small child in the back of my 911 he kicked the seats despite me specifically telling him (and his parents) that he must not before he got it. That was the last time ever a child is going in one of my cars.

Pets IMHO are worse - they do all the damage of children plus they smell and drop hairs everywhere. Not compatible with a nice car.

Lady S told me I could never take a dog out in the Aston - I assume she meant the canine variety.
