Maintenance message reset
Discussion
I have an "emission service required" message that comes up from time to time which I have been told is down to an over sensitive sensor, I use this to reset the warning-

One more thought, Since Aston uses a Volvo Engine Management Computer thier procedure for reset the maintenance messsage may work. I found the following on some Volvo forums"
Well after twinkling a lot with the reset this is what finally clear the code
1. Opened driver door and kept it open
2. Turned key on pos II
3. Pressed odometer button and held it down. (It had "00" on both T1 and T2 when I started)
4. Turned key on pos III within 2 seconds of pressing the odometer button
5. Waited until center warning triangle started flashing (about 4-5 sec)
6. After that I let go of the odometer button
7. Turned off ignition fully
8. Turned on ignition and checked that code has reset
Note,
You may have to try couple f times until you get it. The last two time I did it, I had to do it twice each time.

Q) I 'm receiving an EMISSION SERVICE REQUIRED message.
A) The most frequent causes of this message are due to two known issues with the fuel cap.
1) One issue is some owners don t tighten the cap until it clicks. The obvious way to avoid this issue is to make sure your cap clicks when you tighten it.
2) The other issue is somewhat out of our control at the moment. The V8 Vantage will pressurize its fuel system every third time the car is shut off in order to inspect the system for leaks. There exists a relief valve within the fuel cap for this system. Unfortunately the valve can sometimes become stuck in the open position, and the car will throw this warning. Some owners (myself included) report the problem resolved after multiple replacements of the fuel cap. For more info see this thread (http://www.amoc.org/forum/index.php?topic=4408.0).
