After much lurking over the last 6 months and hunting around today I bought a low miles black N400 Coupe (manual). Chopping in my Cayman which, to be frank, has got just a little boring in the last two years.

Going to pick it up on Friday. Quite excited...now I need to re-read all those posts about stereo settings, tyre pressures etc...

What's going to be the biggest shock versus the old car, I wonder? (aside from running costs)

The biggest shock - fuel consumption. But it's worth it, congrats.

You will need to get used to people pointing and grinning at you!
Enjoy the experience, you'll love it!
Congrats

After the Cayman the biggest shock will be:-
Being let out of junctions!
People letting you out of junctions and smiling
People generally looking at the car and smiling
And obviously the sound of N400 vs the Cayman.

Enjoy

Oh I don't know, 21mpg average doesn't seem to bad for a car which urges you to treat the throttle as a binary switch!

I don't care either, but don't expect 20mpg. Mine is averaging 16.

LOL

snap...actually go over on FFRR forums and you find quite a lot of names from here, popular choice; Aston for summer, Rangey for winter smile

defo the best upgrade to the Vantage in recent years for me was spending a few months driving a Range in winter....get back in the Vantage and it feels like a quick, nimble sports car again...drive it daily and you can start to take it for granted

An Aston and a Range Rover...the perfect pair...especially when they are both V8 petrol. I'm still trying to find fuse 22 on the RR...anyone know where it is? wink

Well my V12V and a Golf GTi Edition 30 to me are pretty perfect and special biggrin
Edited to add, congrats Orange, after 15 years of Porsche ownership, my switch to AM has been fantastic!

Already completely forgotten about the Porsche! Loving it smile
