I sold my V8V last year and having been driving a Toyota Aygo for a few months (fantastic little car - more fun than my 997 C2S!!) I am back in the market for some heavy metal.
I know that we all have prejudices etc. but what do folks think? Big engine, small car or big engine big car....
Thoughts?

im a small car man myself, even though its actually not a huge amount lighter....about a passenger worth IIRC
I think the DBS is the ultimate, but personally I would feel a fraud in one. I can't afford the image or life style expected of such a car. The V12V is as near as I want, with the added slightly naughty image with the obvious bonnet vents and carbon fibre touches giving out a definative street presence. I find it a natural progression from the TVR. Two seats and loads of power and refinement.I expect some much more informed people will be on here discussing the technical variances.
Drive both and go with what your heart tells you. Dont go with what others say as its such a personal decision. Although I dont honestly think you can go far wrong with either.

If you've been driving the Aygo then you must like Toyotas so why not have the best of both worlds and order a Cygnet....?!
Cheeky! I quite like my little Aygo. It sips petrol - I cannot remember when I last filled it up. It is super reliable, easy to park, quite large inside and it is in a nice colour - bit like mako blue. And the stereo is really rather good. It's not up to the 700W I had in my Vantage but it's good enough.I was interested in a cygnet at £20k but at £30k there's no value there...

Seeing as they are yet to chop the roof off a V12V I know which I'd take!
I am not a fan of chopping the roof off a hard top and bracing. I had an S2000 which was designed as a convertible. Every hard top with the roof chopped I have been in flexes and bends too much - including the V8V roadster. (I expect to get shot at for that)clorenzen said:
Get the V12V and keep the Aygo for the difference. Best of both worlds. The DBS is great looking but neither GT nor Sportscar.
If you need an automatic gearbox, that dictates your choice.
Don't like autos. I quite like the PDK box in the G2 911 but I have no desire for the coffee beans reception you get in a 911, so this points to V12V.If you need an automatic gearbox, that dictates your choice.
I had back-to-back test drives booked for Saturday but the dealer went and sold the V12. So I will be out in the DBS only. Dealer is in Welywn Garden City so I rather hope we nip down the A1 to the Hatfield Tunnel....
I've only got one garage and I see how battered street cars get in North London so I think I'll sell on the Aygo. Shame as it's cheap as chips to run and a real blast.

Surely the Aygo will be fine on the street? And you won't be worrying about it so much knowing what else is in the garage!! I'm thinking of buying a Mini Countryman as a second to my V8V and the Mini will be a street inhabitant.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
