Hi, I am having my DB9 serviced tomorrow but I am supplying the oil.

My manual recommends Mobil 1 0W-40.

The dealer said to get Castol Edge Sport 10 0W 40.

But Costco have Castol Edge 10 SW 40, which is marked as fully synthetic. Dealer thought that this would be ok, but I sensed some uncertainty.

Any thoughts on whether this (Castol Edge 10 SW 40) is the right oil?

Simon, I would stick with what your handbook recommends.

Hi Simon its Alan from Amersham .

Its 0w-40 you want not 10w-40 , and make sure it is castrol edge sport , not sure on the castrol edge SW , never heard of that.

Mobil 1 is the best .

I was told that Castrol SLX professional Longtec 0W-30 is the bees knees for a DB9

Stick to Mobil 1 0w40 in the V12. They have used it for years and Mobil 1 is a very good oil.
