Which one of these two V8 Roadsters would you buy and why ?
Discussion
I've had both checked out by AM and friends in Germany, both good specs, similar mileage etc.Driven a 4.3 and a V12 but not a 4.7.
Can get either for the same price. I reckon most of you will say the black 4.7 but the rosso is swaying me.Reason being its been the dealer MD's car and he's in his 60's so I'm pretty sure its been well looked after and I cant be 100% sure about the black one and I just feel the rosso Going to be holding onto either for a few years so not that bothered about depreciation.
Please tell me if I'm being daft thinking more for the rosso one.Thanks.

Both are at the very top of my budget limit so its one or the other as I've been looking for months and believe I have 2 of the best available

I, for one, can understand your preference for the rosso car (anything except black or silver!) but the 4.7 is definitely worth having over the 4.3 imo. Test drive it and I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
ETA: it's a shame the black one doesn't have the Sportspack as that also makes a positive difference.

Thanks Glyn,I expect to hear the same from most but I cant convince myself I'm doing the best thing buying the black one but looks aren't everything eh :-)ETA: it's a shame the black one doesn't have the Sportspack as that also makes a positive difference.

I originally wanted a v8vr in black, purely because I've always liked black, polished up. However when I went to test drive a red 4.3 I really fell in love with the colour. In my case it was "fire red" a special order red with a gold fleck in which when polished up gives it a real sparkle! I bought it on the spot and have never regreted the colour choice. In my opinion the red colour is Mutch more striking in the flesh, the black a more discreet choice. The differences between the 4.7 and 4.3 are covered well in other posts and would probably come down to budget. Although it's worth pointing out that all roadsters are MY2007 and have the minor improvements that brings over the earlier 4.3's
Have enjoyed my 4.3 v8vr immensely and will shortly be putting up for sale!

Well I have a black one and I love it.......go and see both and then decide. I did that when I bought mine and it made my mind up instantly as to which one I preferred.
My German is poor but from looking at it it would seem the Red is with a dealer. If this is your first venture into AM land then IMO having a dealer with a dealer attitude and warranty is worth having until you know the car, know who the helpful independents are and know what they are all about. But that's just my opinion. I wouldn't let the 60 year old previous owner sway you....my old man is 67 and he does 100mph everywhere! :-)

Buyings an Aston Martin can never be a purely practical decision, so when the basis of spending over 80,000 Euros is heart, to then try to decide on colour or engine size as a practical matter must be wrong. Go with your heart, particularly if you expect to have the car for some years. If it were me, I'd worry I'd spend those years regretting not buying the Rosso one!
