Reset MPG on V8V

I've tried a few things no joy, any help as got a long run tomorrow and wouldn't mind seeing if I can get her above 14mpg!!

Scroll through until you have the average fuel value on screen, press the button on the end of the stalk for more than 3 seconds but less than 5.

Pressing for more than 5 seconds will reset both the average fuel and average speed.
