Ok, so I got an AM battery conditioner for xmas, but its either faulty or im being dumb

You are supposed to just plug it in and lights come on?

..thats what it says in the manual anyway

its a 3 pin type, fits the socket in the boot, made by CTEK

Ive checked the socket, cabling, fuse etc, but cant get the thing to switch on

any ideas? ..other than send it back as faulty and try another frown

Plug it in to the socket in the boot, then turn on the power. The amber light (middle) will (usually) come on with it changing to green once the car reaches full charge.

For info, no lights will come on if you plug the charger in to the power socket when it isn't connected to the car so my first guess would be it isn't making contact correctly when you insert it in to the socket in the boot.

thanks guys, will give it another go...I did press the plug in firmly when I was trying before

I was wondering if the socket was faulty, it has never been used before either

will have to get a friend with a Vantage to try with my charger and see if it works
