Independants - Scotland/ N. England

Anybody in Scotland/North entrusted their pride and joy to an independant garage for expert servicing at sensible prices - or do I have to follow Bonnie Prince Charlie down to Derby to see Ric ?

have not used them yet but there is Aston Workshop www.astonservicing.com in Beamish Co Durham. Good informative website and they were featured on local news here about 3 month ago. Worth a look.

My car is there now and I have to say the service that I have received from them has been exceptional. My car was snowed in last month and they have kept it in their showroom until I can collect it in January. While there they have taken care of warranty issues and kept me updated as to the progress.

The quoted price for the service was very competitive, I guess less overheads compared to therein dealers??
