I have just been emailed by a main dealer offering the 1st 3 services at £3,164 incl vat.
Not having experienced V12 servicing charges I am not certain if this is a good deal or not. Also, as I may not keep the car long enough to cover 3 sevices it is not really relevant to me.

Really just wondering what any of those who have had a service think of the price?

Thanks

Di

I too have a V12V and my feeling is that this figure is way too high. I paid £570 for my 12mth first service on my V8V at a main dealer and Ive been told to expect a V12V to cost about £100 more than a V8 to service on each visit. That said I had to haggle to get the service at that price so maybe £3200 for 3 services is about right if you add up the full main dealer RRP's.

Haggling aside however it still doesnt seem to make much sense as there is no allowance in that figure for the fact that they will have your money in the bank for 3yrs and of course your circs may change over the term and you might never take them up on all 3 services! I would pass at that price. In business if I am signing up for a 3 year maintenace deal and paying up front then generally I expect to pay around the price of 2 years. I would personally only begin to be interested if the deal was under £2k.

why would you want to pay for your servicing up front ?........I can think of lots of reasons not to ....eg the car gets stolen or subject to a major insurance claim....you sell it for another reason.......the dealership goes bust

The price is expensive, I asume a V12V costs about the same as an DB9.......at the moment its not difficult to get 30% of standard service prices

sounds like you have been offered a service plan,if it is you do not have to pay up front you can pay in monthly installments, and they can also change it to two years, also the plan can be sold with the car as the plan is against the car and you can also pull out of it as well.

I too was offered this service plan when i purchased mine in August. Whilst i like the idea of paying monthly to spread the cost, the average cost of just over £1k pa i could not justify, especially when competition for business is high and there's nowt like a good haggle!!

+1 - £570 was a good price. I paid £652 inc VAT which I thought was excellent. Either way, to pay up front for 3 years at that price seems high and would pass. Does anyone know the 2nd & 3rd year service prices on a V12V yet? Of course no car would have been through this yet (unless someone has put 20,000 miles on the clock)

I was offered the same package - £3600 including VAT and a 15% - yes 15% discount for my early custom. This was essentially for annual service 2,3,and 4.

I told them to go and jog along!
