Hi all,

I was wondering what type of fluid the db9 power steering calls for. The local dealer does not sell it except in 5 gallon pails?!?

No leaks on my steering system, just wanted to flush it since my db9 has about 75k on it now. I see the manual references castrol but I cannot determine which type.

Thank you!

Aston have switched to Pentosin CHF 11S power steering oil. Comes in 1 litre tins. You do have to drain and flush (using the new fluid is generally the accepted method for flushing) the system out before using it though.

So Aston has changed the fluid spec to the CHF Pentosin fluid? Thanks!

the original fluid would be texaco cold climate (14315g), it is used by other such as landrover and gm, so readily available, Aston Martin do now use pentosin (CHF11S), If you are deciding to use the later fluid I would recommend a thorough flushing, this is quite easy but will require two people, the system takes 1.3 litres
