Both my girlfriend and I find the lightweight seats OK, but not brilliantly comfortable, we're both fairly slim, so don't know if we need to carry a bit more padding to make them better? I'll work on that over Christmas!
I think we really need to mess with the positioning of the lumbar supports till they are right. My other car is an Audi A8 with comfort seats, which is at the other end of the scale, and very comfortable, but not at all supportive, so overall I think I made the right decision to go with the lightweight ones in the Vantage.
Incidentally, I read somewhere that they are Recaros, so they should be about 4.5Kg each, which is very lightweight, and seem to be fitted on a number of cars as a lightweight option.

They are indeed Recaro Carbon shell which is then given the Aston Leather treatment at the factory. I saw a set being covered when I did a factory visit.Incidentally, I read somewhere that they are Recaros, so they should be about 4.5Kg each, which is very lightweight, and seem to be fitted on a number of cars as a lightweight option.
I'm 6'2" and around 80kg. I have found them very comfortable (after owning a 2007 V8V) but suggest you do try them. Everyone has softer bits distributed around different parts of the body so each to their own. I found enough variations of tilt and slide to get comfortable and also to tweek the position from time to time on a long journey from Kent to Newcastle upon Tyne. You can also manually adjust the bolster foam to get the best support. They also look really cool and save a bucket (ha) load of weight.
Cheers,
Ian
