Windscreen wash mix
Discussion
most mundane question ever I know, but any preferred windscreen washes? Anything I should look out for / avoid? May well be a stupid question but then before I owned my Aston I didn't realise it would need specific oil (stone him!!!)
promise I'll find something more interesting to post about next time...

Not stupid at all........
Porsche do their own brand which is mixed at 1:100. It is labeled as a "Window Cleaner" and "should not be mixed with other cleaners"!!!!!! that's all fine but it is "b" all use at -10 so has been liberally blended with some cheap stuff we buy in bulk.
I'm sorry if I might offend Dr Porsche by disobeying his instructions but at least I can now clean the window when it is cold.

If you mix enough different screen washes together is turns into a gunk at the bottom of your washer tank, blocks up the filter and stops them working altogether!
Anyone else had this problem? not that i'm doubting you KoA! I've been losing windscreen water pressure on my 06 vantage for last few weeks. Removed front jets to clean and they are fine, pump kicks in and works but get very little water through the hose - certainly not enough to clean the screen. Had my nearest AM dealer take a look last week and his fix only worked for a day. He's an hours drive away for me to take it back. If i can remove and clean any gunge in the filter myself i'd make my life easier but it looks well hidden away to me.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
