Does any one know the whereabouts of Aston Martin V8 Registration Number NNR81M
Collected new from Lazenby Cars Leicester on 1st August 1973 in Pillar Box Red.
I believe one of the last Fuel Injected cars with 5 speed manual very fast in its day quicker than the carb version.

Could be an ex-parrot. I just looked it up on the MyCarCheck app and there is no record of it under that registration.

You are probably better off asking on the AMOC forum; although I suspect the registration may have changed. AMOC speak chassis numbers.

A properly set-up Bosch mechanical fuel injection engine is a wonderful thing - I race one; more power than the current V8 pretender.

Ask on AMOC Forum or try tim@cottingham.co.uk on http://www.astonmartins.com/

BTW, old V8s should have webbers (mine has), fuel injection is the route to diesel; diesel is the route to caravans and no good ever came of caravans.

If you're going to give advice at least make sure its accurate. The old V8's were powered by both carbs, mechanical fuel injestion and electronic fuel injection. They first cars (including the one in question) should have the Boch mechanical fuel injection system. Later ones reverted to the very old technology of carbs (of which yours is one) before going to an electronic fuel injection system in the mid 80s.

I am not giving any one any advice - I charge for that - I was actually trying to be helpful by directing the chap to the person generally recognised as the world's expert on the matter under discussion, followed by a joke.

I (and many others here and elsewhere) am perfectly well aware of the history of the induction system on a V8 engine (which is just a little bit sad, but there you go). My remark was a form of light hearted banter. Yours on the other hand is personal and is not. Have a lovely day and I apologise to all those who had to read this and were looking to a web forum for a bit of useful information and fun. And yes I do have your bloody book, as you know...
