Driving a V8 in the snow
Discussion
I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times before, but I'm on a mobile so it's hard to search.... so...
Just how is the v8 to drive in the snow? I'm supposed to be driving from London to Bristol and back today but am having doubts given the weather. It will be city + motorway driving only but I'm still hesitant - any thoughts or advice anyone?
Ta in advance!

My V8V is outside my office in EC1 in the snow; can't wait to get a lovely photo this afternoon!
However I only have to get to SW1 to get home, and the roads on that journey are always fine when the snow falls; I'd imagine so long as your journey doesn't involve driving at quiet times that you'll be fine - it only really becomes an issue when the roads get less busy and the snow has time to settle.

Tires make a big difference.
The thing is, while I have always drive high performance cars in the snow and know how to handle them, there's way too many people on the road that have no clue. With the Vantage, the consequences of someone sliding into me are too high to risk it. So I got a snow car, which I use on the days it snows and the day after. The day after is because of all these people that don't bother to clean their cars off and the flying ice can do a lot of damage (not to mention kill people, but that's a different issue).

Went out to the car to take a photo of all this snow... oh wait... there's none and the car just looks wet. Boring.
ETA: This was on Sunday in France though:

You take your Astons out in the snow ????
What else would we use?I even take mine out in the....whisper it....rain. It hasn't shrunk yet.
Is this bad?
My bad weather alternative is the London Underground, so it will take a lot to get me into that rather than taking the car.
-2 is no problem with a hat, gloves & heated seats on
I keep a selection stashed behind the passeger seat
Only time it doesn't go out is on gritted roads.
Recent trip to Scotland, no snow but -4 at times!
Looking forward to 3800 miles round the Alps in the New Year!

Rarely use the cars for commuting into London. Driving into town is rarely any fun (even less so than using the Tube IMO).My bad weather alternative is the London Underground, so it will take a lot to get me into that rather than taking the car.
But the car gets plenty of use in all weathers. They're pussy cats generally.
