Has anyone had any issues with poor tyre wear on their 4.3 V8V's? My car has a nasty tendance to understeer when pressing on- i've found it's easy enough to drive around thru' dabbing the brakes (and unsettling the rear) or lifting off into corners but as you can imagine this is doing my front tyres no favours. It is nice in that you have to be really going for it to provoke any power-induced tail stupid-ness, but i would have hoped it could be achieved at slightly lower speeds - indeed, has anyone tried any AM-approved settings/ throttle re-maps- especially as 2nd gear pick up seems really slow at lower end of the rev range.

Cheers
Ash

sounds like you need the geometry checking/adjusting

Torque Development near Lakeside have a good setup for the Vantage

throttle response is best "fixed" by fitting the AM official powerpack

TDI geometry setup totally changes the car, well worth the (not a lot of) money. Your sounds like the Geo is badly setup. Even before the Geo change could always get the rear to slide a bit on roundabouts. Never goes too far as TC kicks in. With the Geo change can nowe get on the power earlier in slow speed corners.
Throttle response is best fixed by applying max pressure on the right hand pedal! wink
