MY V12 Vantage..... (Massive drum roll)
After two weeks and nearly 1,000 miles of ownership I got to thinking of why I have this car!
Performance?.... Well, whilst it is phenomenal, do I really need it? The answer is, as it is used for my daily drive, no, not really. However, a long spirited drive last weekend provided the power I love.
Status?..... Partially, yes. I am still one of those people that consider Aston Martin is the name synonymous with everything quintessentially British. Simply put, I have the car as it's the epitome of everything a 'sports car" should be, wrapped up in a package that is in my opinion the most stylish, beautiful car available in the world today. It has everything.... the carbon fibre vents and splitters suggest its aggressive side. The sound (especially having engaged the sports button) is unbelievable! Pure venom.
Then stand back and look at this car. Every line is perfect. I was one of those who mocked the 'power; beauty; soul ' message on the V8V dash. But actually it perfectly describes the V12V although the message has now been change for this model to 'Pure Aston Martin' which is also on the money.
I defy anyone to criticise this car from any angle. It is beauty personified.
The cabin is precisely what a car of this nature should be. Sublime with the leather/ alcantara mix, dials, which as darkness falls, fill the cockpit with pinpoints of starlight. Again, I even love the much maligned gear stick but perhaps it appeals more to a woman.
So, overall I have this car as to me it is the fullfilment of my automotive dream. Just amazing.
I don't believe in the 'perfect car' but this comes so close as to make no difference. Here follows just a couple of my OH's photos and hopefully some more professional ones will be on here soon. Enjoy.

Do you consider it to be a better car than a DB9 then?
I have only test driven one DB9 so I am not qualified to comment as to whether or not its a better car.My observations are purely personal, based on how the V12 Vantage ticks all my boxes.
I expect many would say the same about Ferrari, or Lamborghini etc if they are their passion.

Great Photos, perfect summary !!
As for the 'Pure Aston Martin' message, was this a joke or is it true that they have changed it ? It says 'Power, Beauty, Soul' in my V12V..
My DBS is the same, also a 10 model, took me by surprise by personally prefer it.As for the 'Pure Aston Martin' message, was this a joke or is it true that they have changed it ? It says 'Power, Beauty, Soul' in my V12V..
Sounds like you couldnt be happier Di. have observed you going from happy with your roadster to developing an itch, scratching it to finally biting the bullet and in a quite short space of time!
Glad it was worth it. Rob
