V8V Servicing - Schedule/Costs

this has been discussed many many times over the past few months.....try the search
I'm not a forum newbie and have of course tried the search but didn't find exactly what I wanted so was hoping somebody could either post the answer, or a link to where I can find the answer - saying "try the search" is the most bl**dy useless thing ever.I am still not sure if there's an extra oil change needed on top of the regular service, I've seen prices for services varying from £450 to thousands which is just confusing, and I don't know if it's a consistent price or varies year on year.
If you can point me to specific threads that answer all of those questions, I'll be very grateful - thanks!

Took about 5mins incl pasting threads here. Didn't bother with the 2nd page of results or trying different search words
Each Aston service is different so the prices per service not only vary on which one that is required but the prices vary also depending on the dealership
The 1st year service requires oil and filter a few sump plugs and consumables and takes 3 hours
the 2nd year service requires the 1st year items plus pollen filters a brake fluid change and wiper blades and takes 3.85 hours
the 3rd year service requires the items as year 1 plus air filters and takes 3.25 hours
parts prices between everyone will be pretty much even it is the labour rate and oil prices which vary the most, but also if the dealer is prepared to negotiate to remain competitive, some do some don't,

I took my own oil and paid £580 for the 3yr V8V service, from a main Aston dealer. When calling around I found most dealers charge £200 for the oil alone.
What is the correct oil, and how roughly how much does it sell for?I'm just going through self same thing for first year service - dealer quoted £835 inc but if I take my own oil I can take £187 off that. Cheapest I have found oil is here:
http://www.nielsencdg.co.uk/acatalog/Castrol_Edge_...
at £29.01 inc VAT if I buy 4 or more 4lt containers. I believe the car needs around 10lts per change (must brave the cold and go look in the handbook!) or thereabouts?

When I had mine serviced earlier this year, it required 10.5 litres.
The dealers still called the oil Castrol RS 10w-60w, but it has been superseded by Castrol Edge Sport 10W60
The main dealer was charging £15.60 inc VAT per litre for the oil, whereas there were a number of suppliers which had significantly lower prices, includng Halfords. Nielsen CDG were the cheapest at the time. The dealer was quite happy for me to provide the oil.
