I have reads some interesting forums on this site about DBS and had some questions as below.

Is this vibration issue under braking wide spread or affected a few cars.

Does the discs wear quickers than the normal discs and how much to replace.

I had a DB9, is it worth the extra cost or buying a new DB9 be a prefered route, than a secondhand DBS.

Is there anything i should ask about or check prior to purchasing.

Thanks for your thoughts

Steve

Im in the same boat but Im waiting until the new year as I want a volante at the right price.

I would be happy that any car coming from a main dealer (and I 100% trust my local Strats) would be ok / sorted and of course I would drive it prior to purchase and if wheel wobble is evident it would be sorted prior to delivery. If buying from an indie it might not be so straight forward.

I have also decided to test drive a 2011 MY DB9 but havent managed to do so yet, it may sway me.

My only thought - do it! Bought one 2nd hand (to be honest it was only 4 months and 1600 miles old), I have loved every single second to date and whilst the price is so much higher than my previous Vantage, my experience to date says its more than worth it. I love it love it love it....

Do it I did .... Grange Welwyn were excellent and the car is superb...my 'wheel wobble' was just down to weights (fat passenger lol) and from what the dealer tod me discs should last for ever unless you track it ... gorgoeus car gorgoeus sound wonderful interior and makes you feel that your money has been well spent ....

They look great in Quantum silver. If you're going second hand try to get one with the B+O stereo. There's not that much difference after that apart from the very new ones have a better phone microphone and glass buttons. Great car.

There's apparently a dealer bulletin now out regarding a fix for the infamous wheel wobble problem. Otherwise they're rock solid. The brakes are carbon ceramic so they last a long time, the discs will last significantly longer than regular brakes as I understand it.

Am chewing over an upgrade from my '10 reg V8V to a used DBS too - prices for the oldest ones seem to have been steady for over a year now.
