I am a 5th year Medical Student from the University of Southampton and a member of the Medical Students' Society committee for this year. We are currently organising our annual dinner and need your help!

We are looking for someone who would be willing to bring their car along to Southampton Guildhall on Friday 3 December 2010 to mark the entrance to our Annual Dinner which this year has a James Bond theme.

We would love to welcome our members to the ball in true James Bond style with an Aston Martin parked in front of the beautiful Guildhall building as they arrive for their champagne reception from 1830 until 1930.

The evening is in aid of our two chosen charities for this year; Macmillan Cancer Support and Wessex Heartbeat.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to help us.

Many thanks.

Hannah, It's breaking my heart to see no replies on this. Afraid I am in Cambridge and although I love a good drive Southampton is a bit of a trek otherwise I would have helped you out. I wish you luck in your search and hope you raise loads for your chosen charity.

Hannah, much like Pete I'm far to distant to help out but it did cross my mind whether you had approached your nearest
friendly Aston dealership.Lets hope a responsive dealer can come to your rescue in true James Bond style:bowtie

True James Bond style reply,
When R.N.L.I. launched there Tyne class AWB lifeboat 47- 007 they asked if if an actor could be at the opening with a bit of a theme needless to say; sorry no one interested/available, (I hope they have to call the us out one day)

There's no shortage of silver Aston's out there, and a good few up for charity events, try bribery with a bacon butty, seamed to work for Rick, or maybe an appeal of the Pussy Galore kind might tempt, and of course you medics know all the right drugs to take so should be a great evening,
an other option is to try a static hire or promotion

Come on you Southerners don't let the side down

Just think!!! one day the roll may be reversed and You as an Aston owner may need flying Medic James bond style

Thank you for all of your posts. Unfortunately local Aston Martin dealers aren't able to help us so we're still hoping for a kind owner to come to the rescue... and we really don't mind what colour it is!

It's a fair trek from Nr Coventry, but I will look at the calendar.

I'd have thought a whole flock of Aston owners would be interested in donning a tux and arranging a convoy down.

Would it be worth asking Aston Martin directly? Sure medical students may become potential Aston Owners some day.

idea Really wish i could of helped on this but sadly i am too far as well, just an idea have you tried any of the hire company's? Maybe they could spare one for an hour or two without charging being as it is for a very good cause.

Good luck in finding a car and i really hope you all have a lovely time wink

I might be able to help... silver Vantage with F1 8OND number! Very sad I know but does it for me and I'm sure would work for your ball!

Anyway, I'm in Bournemouth, what sort of time would you need the car there and for how long? Do we get to go to the ball?!
