Apologies - I am struggling to get the search function to work.... I would like to change the look of the number plate at the front, as I think that the black plastic backing plate thing, takes away from the aesthetics of the grill. Has anyone succeeded in doing this in a way that looks good (and not tacky!!!)

Thanks for any help

Do a quick search or look a couple of pages back, loads of discussion on the best way to do it.
Me I just removed the whole lot and velcroed an uber small plate to the bumper smile

Thanks .... I had seen that thread but had misread it. I didn't realise that people are literally just sticking the plates directly onto the car. I will give this a go tonight. Thanks all.

Well I took off the front number plate and all the fixings (the 4 steel bolts that go through the grill etc) - and stuck the new plate onto the bumper, slightly lower than previously so that you can see more of the grill - works a treat, and think it looks much better.

This is a jolly useful place! Thanks

Don't go too low, it blocks off the oil cooler.
