1st Major Service Cost
Discussion
I've never seen the service light! Its supposed to be serviced every 10,000 miles or 12 months (whichever comes first) - when was yours last serviced? As to Aston Dealer or Independent, there are lots of threads about this topic, so if you read them you'll get a flavour. The long and short of it is Aston dealers cost more (65%-100%) than Independents but you get to say 'Full AMSH'. I take mine to an Independent (Rick at DMS) who also is mentioned on(and contributes to) many threads here.

Hi,
I'm a new owner of a 2007 V8 Vantage with around 34K miles on the clock. The service light has just come on and I was wondering what kind of costs to expect for this and if people recommend taking back to the dealer for the service or somewhere else?
Thanks all!

Thanks for the replies. I've checked the service book and I'm due for the 4th Year/40,000 mile service. Have been quoted £1200 by the dealer.
Ouch , you need to talk to other dealers, i can do it alot cheaper than that. mrrm said:

I got quoted £1,020 + vat for the 4 year service at my local dealer and £530 inc vat from Rick at DMS..... and having visited both places im confident that I will be getting just as good a service at DMS, just no wings on the service stamp..
Wow £530 inc VAT, thats a huge differencelynham said:
They've also just fitted the clear rear lights to my 06 V8V and i saved £450 compared to the dealer.... and the service was fantastic.. ok, its an hour and a bit away from me as opposed to 200 yards from my dealer but the saving is significant enough..
How in the hell did you manage that , its only half a hour to fit , and the parts , are what they are.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
