Hi guys,

so i have a 2005 DB9. The car hasnt been driven for a while due to illness and has been left sat. The car needed to be moved but the battery was dead, It wasnt close enough to power either. So i contacted a branch of aston and they advised me on moving the car by hand.

This involved disengaging the transmission under the rear passenger seat. I did this and rolled the car out of the way and closer to power. The transmission was then engaged again. Unfortunately my charger was broken and the car was then left for a few more weeks until i finally got a charger.

I have now charged the car and i am trying to start it. It is saying the transmission isnt engaged or something along those lines.

anyone got any advice?

regards

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan, I presume you have relocated the release mechanism that puts the car into neutral into its normal position if so there is the possibility the cable has come detached at the box end in this case, This will require access to the underneath and removal of part of the exhaust, let me know if you require specific instructions, also just check the message as it may be to do with the battery disconnect switch, and may need reactivation, the little yellow button under the opposite side to the gearbox release handle may need depressing,

Thanks alot for the help.

It also said something about a battery switch on the dash which i didnt udnerstand tbh.

So ive now pressed this and inserted the key. Turned it and the car came to life. With a press of the button it came alive. I now have this urge to take it for a drive.

Thanks alot for the help, realy appreciate it.
