Aston tend to call this Armourshield, are we talking the same product. TVR its always Armourfend. I am curious what a dealer might charge for this. I know what the manufacturer charges for a full kit and fitting.

Would you trust your p&j to the maker or would you stick to your dealer to get fitted?

Thanks

Di

I had Ventureshield fitted, before I picked the car up from my dealer. Cost was around £1500 for the full kit, which includes full bonnet, wings, headlights and front.

Well worth it, IMO.

Depends on the dealer I guess. We were offered full frontal coverage on the Rapide for £1000. Had it done independently done elsewhere before hand but well worth the money (if they do a good job).

There are 5 or 6 different brand names for the same thing.
Dont let the dealer do it.
Get it done properly by a professional detailer.
The paint surface needs to super clean and ideally claybarred to get the best adhesion.
Mine has it on and I suspect it was done by the dealer as there are specks of dirt under it and some of the tight curves have lifted a bit.
It has done a great job though and I will renew it when it starts to lok tatty.

Depending on where you're based I can recommend Nathan at Cambridge Autogleam. He is a member on here and works with someone who offers fully bespoke venture shield installation. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Another option at least..

Paintshield (company). Good guys.

Still can't do the bonnet of a V8 in one piece though, and not even God can make the joins properly invisible...I'd rather have stone chips than a line across the bonnet.

All the dealers i know would sub-con this out to Professional's anyway as there staff are trained on Aston Martins and not amourfend.
So dont expect it was done by a dealer , more like a cheapr sub-contractor.
Yes the dealer shouldnt of allowed it or was it like it before they got it.

So anyone wanting this work done , by all means go to a dealer but i would ask some questions on who is doing it , as said it is all in the prep , and to many people are cost driven these days , instead of quality.

Exactly - though I missed the bit about subbing it out.
