"Aston Martin issues recall over steering fault"
Discussion
FT.com on 6 October 2010 says there's a recall in the US of 1090 DB9, DBS, and V8 Vantages made in 2007/8 for a steering weakness. Anyone know if UK cars are affected and will be recalled? I have a V8 Roadster made then.

Aston Martin is recalling some of its DB9, DBS, and V8 Vantage cars because of a fault that could affect their steering and lead to accidents, the US Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
The agency said on Wednesday that the brand was recalling the cars because a bolt holding the lower control arm in the cars’ front suspension could crack, influencing drivers’ steering of the cars and “increasing the risk of a crash”.
NHTSA said the recall would affect 1,090 cars made in 2007-08. Aston Martin’s dealers will replace the bolts free of charge in the recall, which agency said was due to begin on or before October 18.
The company, majority owned by Kuwait’s Investment Dar and Adeem Investment and based in Gaydon, described the recall as “precautionary” and said the repair would take less than an hour. It said it knew of no cases of the bolt breaking in any of its cars “anywhere in the world”.
