Hi All,

On my TVR every year to keep it water tight I simply used the paint on FABSIL (tent waterproofer).
Anyone use that on the vantage roadster roof or is there an alternative I should be using?

Thanks
Good Soil (Pete)

Good question. As mine lives outdoors I too would love to know if there is an approved treatment.

Fabsil won't be an approved solution, but...

The waterproofing will be on a membrane below the fabric bit.
Fabsil works beautifully.
Most of it is visual, i.e. you've thoroughly cleaned the fabric before proofing it, and the fabsil merely enhances the depth of the black, and encourages beading.

Isn't Fabsil a "feminine care" product? I noticed you recently posted on "scratched the itch", so there is a bit of a theme going in your postings I think! biggrin

I've had convertibles for the last 12 years.
Always used 303 protectant on mine (used on boats for UV protection)
Renovo is well thought of as is Raggtop.
Just be sure it is a fabric version and not a vinyl version. wink
I've found the best way to apply them is with a microfibre cloth soaked in the product. Rub it in gently leave a few seconds to soak in and wipe off excess.
DO NOT us the spray they come with it goes every where but on the hood!
