Grateful for any experience you might have had. I took out an extra year's AM warranty when I bought the car. And now the rear near-side brake light has failed (so the whole damn unit needs replacing). Is it covered?

No idea, but if not and you have a V8V I do have a set of perfect original red rears in my loft which I will happily sell for a reasonable offer.

PM me if interested.

Thanks Di, and seeing as I'm not far away, that could be a very convenient solution. Let me call the dealer on Monday, and I'll let you know.

Cheers

A few people have had them replaced. Not sure if the warranty was extended or not though - do a search. But your best bet is to read the terms carefully, call your dealer and argue the toss (I would very much expect them to be covered for the price of the warranty).
