Sorry to start a new thread on the same subject but would appreciate some feedback this eve.
The car I am viewing tomorrow indicates 4652 miles in PH classifieds. On the dealer site,( 1st time I have been on) when I checked for directions this eve, it quotes half that at 2,100miles. Now I know they have recently updated the price as it is £1,000 less than when I first saw it, but mileage is still 2,100.
If they are intentionally or otherwise not giving correct mileage is this a bargaining tool or just a tough luck situation.
Any negotiating tips or otherwise appreciated.

It may just be an innocent difference in when the ads were put on the different sites. If the car is still being used then the mileage could well be different. Nevertheless, I'd point it out as part of any negotiation and deny knowledge of the PH ad!
Good luck, having seen a couple of V12s up close and personal at Ricks last weekend I'm dreaming of the day I can add another 4 valves to the stable!

I posted in a bit of a hurry earlier as viewing tomorrow.
I guess what I am saying is that if I had only seen the car on the dealer site advertised at 2,100 miles and turned up and it had more than double the mileage would I have a case for negotiation?
I am not trying to make an issue, just curious.

Hmmm, the car in question is used as a daily driver by the CEO of the group so mileage is bound to change based upon the date of the advert. The car has been on the market for a few months now and they keep reducing the minimum price they are preapared to take month on month - but thats not surprising really I guess as they obviously depreciate.
That said it seems a damn fine car but I never got as far as actually seeing it in the flesh becuase I ended up with a brand new 2010 car for only a tiny bit more than Grange's minimum price on that one at the time. It has since been reduced further of course and I would buy from Grange if the deal was right as they seem like a nice dealership. There are many AM dealers I have decided are just not up to the job of selling AM's but Grange is one of the good ones.
I dont really think you have any grounds for negotiation just because of the mileage of what is probably an old advert. Just use your powers of negotiation to get a good price - there is always a deal to be done on any car at these prices right now, the economy and market is still hugely depressed so push for what you feel confortable paying and then you will be happy. Dont be put off by a single dealer who says that 'x' is their minimum price if it isnt what you want to pay - just move on and push harder at the next one.
Regardless of any of the above the V12V is a truely awesome piece of kit and really is head n shoulders above the V8V, which in its own right is a very seriously good car. AS long as you are happy paying what you do then you will be happy and rewarded with one of the very best cars on the market right now at any price. The V12V is one very very special car!

On the first bit that was not my experience with them - I will not be going back.Dont be put off by a single dealer who says that 'x' is their minimum price if it isnt what you want to pay - just move on and push harder at the next one.
That said they did move on their minimum price with me and did a lot of remedial/snagging.
If we as owners, and the "cognoscenti" are worried about 2.5k miles extra on a car that has done under 5k miles, we deserve to get thoroughly spanked come trade in time if we dare use the thing.
IMO, that sort of increase is no cause for any additional bargaining per se.
If it were 14,462 rather than 2,100 then maybe. But not 4,462.

I agree with Murph RE: the mileage issue and with Adam as it is being currently used.
If the car is right for you and you get very near the price you want to pay there are some other options, one or two of the following: -
1. First service 'free'
2. If the paintwork has swirls (I know it will not be so apparent with silver) maybe a decent detail
3. Some AM leather travel baggage
4. Official AM track day
Maybe not money saved on the purchase but a nice feeling that you are being looked after (as they said on the homecoming event)
Good luck tomorrow.......

I'm guessing you are trading the V8VR as p/x for the V12V?
If so, I would look very closely at the cost to exchange. I think the dealers will offer a big discount on what is advertised but then go after you royally on the trade-in of the V8.
Good luck regardless.

p.s. habit of mine (like fuse 22 for others).....if your in to that sort of thing, get them to colour-match the louvres to the rest of the machine. Thats £250 - 300 worth. Looks so much better IMO.
