Can you get V8V wing mirrors to dip on reverse?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a way to get the mirros to dip on engaging reverse? Had the function on all my other cars, but find it suprising that they don't on a car of this calibre!

This was introduced at MY10 production year.

Simply go into the car settings on the main console and you can program which mirrors are to dip on reverse - left, right or both.

If your car is older than that then Im afraid its a not a feature.

On pre MY10 cars I understand dealer may be able to sort this for you in a similar way to the fold on locking feature.

Thanks for the info, mine is a 2008 model. My dealer mentioned about programming the mirrors to fold on locking, but not about dipping on reverse

Yes on a MY08 build, to the best of my knowledge fold on lock is an option but dip on reverse is not.

It is listed on amds to enable dip on reverse for the earlier cars but with uk cars it does not program this feature, Not sure if this is available for other countries, I will check on our next international job,

I was told it couldn't be done sadly (mine's MY07).

It's a shame they don't allow wholesale updating of such options on older cars, as I'm pretty sure it's purely software for stuff like this.

Lack of such an option wouldn't be enough to make me trade up, but allowing a s/w update would make me feel much better about customer after care and longevity from the manufacturer...

So that you can see the kurb when reversing and dont run into it with your wheel!

I suspect that the number of days per year that it ever gets that icy in the UK are few and far between. If you lived in Canada or Norway or such like then thats fair comment but here in the UK such ice is very rare - besides which I suspect 99.9% of V12V's live inside a garage and never come out to play in such ice!
