Ok ok ok, I know I said I wanted something a bit different, but going to view a Lightning Silver V12V on Saturday. Its in the classifieds (no idea how to link ) in Hertfordshire.

Does anyone know this car as I really don't want to consider a press car that may have been ragged silly?

Thanks

Di

Another one weakening biggrin

If its the one at Grange its their CEO's car so hasn't been razzed, nice spec with most of the good bits (lightweight seats, premium stereo etc) I was considering this car but got a very good deal on a new car, its been around for a while so I think you could squeeze a decent deal on this, I would recommend dealing with Martin Ross, he is a good straight guy who actually answers you straight back on all points.

Another nice car that I have seen is here... http://www.dealers.motortrak.com/detail?template=/...

PM me if you want any other info, I know where there is a new white car loitering with intent!

Thanks Grant.

My other half got off the phone to Martin half an hour ago and yes he does appear a decent guy. I will look at the link you gave and PM if interested.

Thanks again

Yes, I have been liasing with Simon at Gaydon, but nothing yet. Sadly I cannot afford new so if I want to proceed I have to go with what is out there. Numbers aren't that high, so the choice is limited. I want to see what Lightning looks like in the flesh as it is a completely different shade of silver to my current Grigio Titanio.

Bloody hell, hark at me. They are all stunning. Perhaps I shouldn't be so fussy.

Di - Lightning Silver on a DBS looked stunning in the flesh. I would imagine that it would suit V12V very well.

Grant - do I assume that you have taken the plunge on a new V12V when you say new car ?

If it helps your decision making process I bought an ex press V12V with 3500 miles and have done another 10,000 trouble free miles in ten months. Loving every minute.

Nigel.

I drove this car at a Grange day at Brockett Hall, in July. It's a very nice car, but not a roadster wink

Agreed, Martin sold me my Roadster a couple of years ago and was extremely helpful. Say Hi to him for me!

You said you wanted something different, short of doing a deal on a factory "match to sample" how about this.................2.5k's worth of pearlescent Morning Frost White.....

I think white (and all the other light colours) look good on the V12 Vantage as it is a small and compact car. I originally wanted to spec a white car but decided against it due to the fact that the darker colours are much more understated than the lighter colours where the bonnet sills and other carbon bits stand out much more. Good luck in your search.

Wow, that white one looks stunning! The only slight issue I would have is if white were to fall out of 'fashion' again soon.

I very nearly went for the white car, but in the end it was a little too in your face for me,no mistaking it's a VV12 though & stunning IMO, without being sexist the pearl paint finish with it's hints of blue is rather feminine, which is a great contrast to beast that lurkes within wink !!
