Well, I would think long and hard about taking it out as its around £1200 i think as i had it on my DB9 when i purchased it from a main dealer for a year and it hardly covers anything when you read the small print.

For example, I had a CD changer failure within 5 months of having my DB9. This wasnt covered as they dont cover any internal/external electronic equipment...

My experience with after market warranties is not good.......for similar money you can have the Aston warranty which is comprehensive......I renewed my warranty last month and now I dont worry about any strange noises developing when I give my Aston some stick (not that any have)......Its an insurance policy thats all

Have renewed the Extended Warranty on mine. Not everything is covered and is is very badly worded, which may leave you having to phone the warranty company and argue something should be covered (as I found out earlier this year). Comms / sound system as stated previously are NOT included. Its a mechanical warranty not a full car warranty.
However, have had the theromstat and the drivers seatbelt (frayed) using the warranty.
Warranty didn't want to pay for a new seatbelt as they were claiming the 'soft furnishings' were not covered. Had to 'politely' explain to them that the main safety feature (seatbelt) of the car was not made by DFS!
They eventually saw my point of view

I'd have a word with a dealer about the extended warranty as it has been overhauled There are also differences if you take the warranty out while the car is still covered under manufacturers warranty. The non-Aston policies don't always offer as much and often take longer to process when a claim is put in. Whoever you go with get them to expplain to you what it does and doesn't cover rather than rely on the print in the policy as it can get a bit confusing. (ie - soft furnishingsrotate)

its up to you, there are not exactly 20,000 70K mile old cars out there to draw any meaningful conclusions from

I have a Jan 06 car, with 50K on the clock, not in warranty, its had a new thermostat (£170) and coolant sensor (£20) ..thats it...touch wood

so Im quids in, rather than paying £1200-1400 a year, maybe just put it in the bank, or invest it
