Hi folks, just read that the mighty vanq uses two ford ecu's to run the engine, can anyone confirm this?

Thanks, Zepe

Baically yes, but even though the software is based around the eecv system with the integrated pats, there are significant differences, Don't forget this system comes from the DB7 Vantage(again two ecu's) from a time when ford was holding the reins,

The Vanq uses PTEC's. Not interchangable with the DB7 Vantage EEC's.

With the 1-77 at 7.3 liters I wondered if anyone had stroked the 5.9, I did a search and found this project.

They use after market ecu's, but if Astons uses Ford based ecu's they might be able to be reprogrammed here in the US. Anyway a 620hp naturally aspirated vanq or dbs/9 would make the performance match the looks.
