Had 2 new rear tyres fitted a week ago (same spec as originals) and its just started showing "Tyre System Fault" on the display when driven > about 60mph. Is there some kind of reset needed when new tyres are fitted or do the sensors (behind the valve on the wheel) need replacing?

When I've had wheels refurbed, Lepsons have sometimes had to replace the sensors in the wheel, thats why I am askign if they need replacing.

First thing to check that the tyre pressures are set correctly,

Who fitted the tyres? If it wasn't an Aston dealer/specialist they tend not to notice the sensors or at least know how to fit a tyre without damaging one. Quite a common occurance round here.

Thanks for the replies. I will check the pressures, and I had them fitted at a new place called TYREMARK. They have the latest kit and impressed me with the care they took with my car. This maybe because the guy running the place has a blue 2009 AMV8 convertible. However, maybe the guys fitting the tyres damaged a sensor - I'll investigate!

It's easily done. All it takes is for the bead of the tyre to catch the sensor as it gets put on and it's knackered.
