Sorry for re-raising this, but the search facility is not working!

Has anyone bought the most recent (Volvo/Navteq 2009?) satnav disks for a 2008 Vantage?
If so, could you let me know the part number please.

I've read lots about this (here and on AMOC via google) and become quite confused because quite a few different part numbers seem to be mentioned. Titbits I've read include:

"Volvo Part Number: 31285852 - for XC90 up to 2006"
"Volvo Part Number: 31285854 for XC90 from 2007"
"Volvo Part Number 31310191"
"from 2009, systems use a HDD - different system"
"Volvo 2009.1 DVDs work in your V8V MY2005-MY2008 as long as you use the Volvo DVDs that are meant for "older" Volvos, so please use the right discs (in EU the product no should end with a 2, NOT with a 4!)"

When this is resolved, maybe an idea to add it to DMS Owner FAQs?

Registered with AMOC today to ask the same question and some nice chap responded very quickly with "If you can confirm your car has a pre-hard drive Satnav as fitted to 09MY cars the Volvo part number is 31310191 1022 Europe. If you decide to buy the 2010 discs, FRF Volvo Swansea sell them for £150.80 + £5.50 PP, (RRP £186). Call Simon in parts on 01792 790066."

From what I understand the Volvo part number for the 2010 disk has changed from 31285852 to 31310191.

Regardless, looking at those prices I'm not convinced it's worth it...as much as the system is "integrated", you'd be much better off dropping 150 quid on a TomTom.

Further investigation makes it look like its not too hard to download the files from a Torrents website and burn the DVD's myself - anyone done that?

Does the update include full postcode now? I heard from aston they had a Vantage in on Sat which had full postcode navigation. I'd def be keen to upgrade but not for the £500 they quoted!

Not relevant for me yet, but how does one update the HDD SatNav?

Also, I have to say that I haven't found the system anywhere near as bad as I expected given some of the comments. Not as pretty as some I've used but certainly just as good as Porsche PCM from a functional perspective.

As far as I know it does include full postcode navigation. AMOC have quite a bit of info on this.
