Has anyone put the Quicksilver Sport Exhaust on to a MY10 V8R.I expect the Larini system to be beautiful but expensive and the Quicksilver a good compromise. My main concern is that I dont want it too loud with the roof down but feel the stock sound is very disappointing especially on acceleration (even de-corked). I was hoping the new Aston Sports exhaust would be the answer but their seems to be mixed reaction to it.

I've heard the Quicksilver and new AM Sports exhaust on MY10 Coupes
I prefer the Quicksilver one at lower revs.
Contemplating the putting it on my MY09 Roadster as it is too quiet at low revs wink

I just gone through deciding which exhaust to go for on my coupe. In the end I went with the
Larini, I choose that because you can get sports cats by Larini and I didn't want to have a mixed system.
Very nice sound not massively louder than original but releases much more of the v8 grumble at low revs/speed with absolutely
no drone in the cabin at cruising speed.
Try and see if anyone lives near you that has changed their exhaust and have a listen because youtube clips really
don't come across that same as being there.
If I hadn't of wanted to get sports cats I would have gone for the Tubi.

Hi Dave,

Did you fit the Larini Sports Exhaust (rear box) and Sports Cats together, or at different times ?

Cheers,
Ian

Hi Ian

I haven't put the cats on yet, only had the backbox on a week. Wanted to do it in stages to see if/what the differences
are and as Larini don't do an offer if you buy both together you save money it made sence to me to get it done in stages.

Cheers

Dave.

That does make sense to do it in stages...when do you plan to fit the sports cats ?

I like the idea of the Larini System (rear Box and cats) but also considering the Quicksilver super sports rear box...... but would like to find out how much cabin noise (drone) the Quicksilver system will bring.

Cheers,
Ian

I have the Quicksilver super sport on my V8V Coupe. Beautiful rumble at idle and great sound throughout the rev range. There is zero drone on the freeway when I roll up the windows and take the wife out to dinner.

Biggest issue is that I always drive with the windows down to hear the car as loud as possible.

Quicksilver gets my vote! As witnessed by Mikey K, sounds great and not too intrusive. Had it on my 4.3 and transferred onto my 4.7. The extra silencing in the new outlet tips takes some if the edge off the V8 rumble.

Don't forget the Milltek exhaust system (with matching sports cats).

Utterly FABULOUS sound and a healthy hike in bhp (+20kg weight saving).
I believe Rick @ DMS is now an authorised fitter for Milltek.

Check our RSC tuning as well.

Having had a V8V myself, and now in a Gallardo with the RSC exhaust, I would suspect the V8V product will be an awsome fit for you. Although a US company, they do have a guy in the UK and have really looked after me!!

It was the hardest decision!! The sound is so much better with no top, but the lines of the coupe make it one of the best looking cars period imo.
