Drove a V8V Roadster
Discussion
Drove a V8V Roadster at the weekend.
My goodness it was lovely.
Just wanted to say.
Thanks!
More seriously; only 30 minutes or so of on road time, but the car felt absolutely superb; quality of interior and driving experience; and the noise when you put your foot down - wow! Lots of smiles. I found out the waiting time for a new one would only be 5 months though, I might consider changing up next summer but that's a long way away.

Couldn't afford a new one, but have done the next best thing, and after a test drive yesterday, have bought a preowned 4.7. It's made my year, and can't wait for it to be delivered next week!
My goodness I'm jealous. I think a pre-owned 4.7 is the way to go and I'm very jealous; have a fantastic time with your new car!HAMISHHAVOC said:

Good work!I meant to ask when I was at the factory what proportion of V8V's are roadsters but forgot
On the factory tour I only saw a handfully and judgung by the FS section around 1 in 6 are roadsters
So welcome to an even more exclusive club
For Shmee
I would be surprised if you can last a year. Its an itch waiting to be scratched. Mind you my car just could be available if I can find what I am looking for.
For HH, congratulations. Its weird, I prefer the looks of the coupe against the roof up roadster, but love the lines and the experience when my top is off, fnarr fnarr.
Pic's compulsory. Some seem to use some thumbnail thingy to host but I use tinypics, its free and easy. (Has to be!)
You can tell I'm technical

Why dont you try some other dealers? You might find one or two new ones that are already in the show room.My goodness it was lovely.

Hamish, I had seen an ad for your car and it is the exact same colour combo I would be choosing so many congratulations it looks absolutely brilliant.
However...
It's not that I can't find one; it's that I'm on preliminary excitement searching for my next car for next April/May. I like to start early so that if you pick a model with a long delivery time at the moment it will still be here; if I decide a used Vantage Roadster is the way to go then it won't be bought until then.
As it happens it's between V8V Roadster, Maserati Grancabrio and used Ferrari F430; who knows
However...

Thanks Mike! Yes it probably is the one you are thinking of. Previously owned by an AM director, loaded with toys, just had new clutch and tyres, full Works service history Dealt with a fantastic bloke called Fergus who is having the car detailed for me prior to delivering next week. Sleepless nights until then
