I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!!! New Mako Blue V12V on its way!
Discussion
Hello fellow Aston owners! My username of 997GT3 has been consigned to the history books and replaced with something more fitting to an Aston forum. It coincidentally describes my new monster of a car i'm collecting on Saturday
I make no apologies for shouting in the thread title as I am so, so excited!!
After nearly a month of getting everything in place I can now announce to you all that as of Saturday I'll be the very proud owner of a Mako Blue V12 Vantage.
The car is six months old and has had one private owner from new and on the day of viewing had covered 2991 miles!
I was holding out for a Lightening Silver V12 not expecting the rare Mako blue to become available. I therefore absolutely jumped at the chance to own this beauty! Not only that but it has all the options (above an already impressive standard V12V spec) that I could have wished for. In other words, this is THE car I would have asked the factory to build me had I had £146000 that this one cost from new!
As well as the rare exterior colour the car comes with:
Lightweight 6-way adjustable seats,
Phantom Grey carpets,
510 alloy facia trim not piano black,
Alloys finished in grey on spokes and rim not black
700w premium audio,
Front parking sensors,
Bright finish grille
Garage door opener,
Battery conditioner, umbrella, first aid kit
Pictures you say??? Here we go:-

Congratulations mate, an absolutely stunning car in the flesh, I've been biting my lip since meeting you there the other week when you turned up to look at it.
Sorry Tony...have you any 'lip' left as it seems ages now since we had that quick chat! Alot has happened since then - it was easy saying 'yes' but it's been an effort putting everything in place to hopefully collecting on Saturday!Just a pitty it's not late April instead of late August as it feels like us northerners have had no summer at all!
I've booked a week off work mid-September though to spend some quality time with my new 'friend' LOL.
What a beautiful car, well done you! Having drove the V12 at the homecoming event I can only say you're in for a very happy experience, but i guess you know that already! best of luck with it
By the way, you mentioned the word "northerner" - is that north as in just above Watford or the real north? Just I'm wondering if AM do a pop out snow shovel as an option suitable for the North East here!

Congratulations and welcome to the monster club! A really beautiful colour - I wasnt sure until now if mako blue was actually a different colour or just an alternative name for lightning silver (mako meaning lightning as I understand). I can see now from your pictures that although similar it is somewhat more blue, but every bit as stunning and it really suits the V12V. wow!
mybrainhurts / hartley - I think it is entirely reasonable for somebody to keep the price they paid to themselves. If you really want to know how much then as the response above why dont you checkout the PH classified ads as almost all the ads there are main dealers anyway, failing that check the main AM website and look the car up on the used section. If you want to know if there is a deal around then like any car you need to either pop in to a local AM dealer or pick up the phone and call one and make a serious enquiry. Failing that a friendly private PM to an owner-member might solicit a response but I too think that it would be inappropriate to post such vulgaraties in a public space such as here.

Vulgarities..?
You mean the wife might find out..?
I don't want to know, just curious as to why it's so sensitive.
Well for some yes, but I for one always fully discuss my automotive splurges with "the wife" first, indeed she is often the one who tells me "go for it, what the hell", when I am hesitant to spend that much. You mean the wife might find out..?

I dont think he is being sensitive - I think its just whats called "keeping your finances private". Something people who can afford such luxuries often tend to like to do .
Whatever the price paid I can say that the V12V is well worth it. To be honest, as sceptical as I was at first that it was worth more than a V8V, once you have driven it you will realise it is an entirely different (and much better) car. It is worth the full £140k+ that they are brand new at list, so its sure worth it if you can save a few bob too.
Phil,
You sly old dog you! Lovely car, so glad you have come over to the "Dark Side". Now do yourself another favour and get the louvres matched up and I will definately have "car-envy".
Further, if you ever get to the point when you tire of the car or the colour, please give me a call. I'm running a home for stray V12V's and would happily make you an excellent offer!
Enjoy!

Very very nice, that colour certainly stands out! Enjoy and watch out for speed traps!! I had a little bit of fright at Gaydon last week when told prior to the test drives that the police knew about the event and were 'out and about'... wish i had known that on the way there!! Think i got away with it!
